I'm already a week late sharing this information, but better late than never!
I love a good story, and when I say Beyond the Gates has me hooked already! This new daytime soap is making history as the first Black-led hour-long soap opera in over 35 years, and y’all, it does not disappoint.
I grew up watching "the stories" with both my grandmothers, and I can only imagine what they’d think of Beyond the Gates. A prestigious Black family, secrets, scandals, power moves... It's everything we love in a soap but with us at the center.
I’ve watched the first week, and let me just say, Dani Dupree is the one to watch. My girl is going through it! But I won’t spoil it for y'all. Just trust. The drama is real.
Also, it's Women's History Month, and the legendary Tamara Tunie is leading as the family matriarch. We have to support her and this amazing cast as they break barriers in daytime television.
