Ingridients for Love ❤️

Happy Valentine's Day, lovers!

It's been a while since I last checked in, but I couldn’t let this day of love, this Black History Month day of love, pass without touching base.

First things first, I hope your 2025 is off to a great start. Are you resting? Remember, we are sitting this one out. You hear me? Understood? Okay.

January felt like 1001 days, but I made it through and celebrated my 45th birthday 🎂 on the 24th. It was a quiet evening with a good meal, just the way I like it. This year of 45, I vowed to do me, which is why I've been taking the time to rest, reflect, and reset before starting back with this newsletter. Also, my doctor reminded me, once again, to "take care of you," and I am finally listening.

Today, I am being intentional about pampering myself. Even though I have to work, I’m looking forward to a three-day weekend and using the time to get organized. The Notion app is waiting for me, and I plan to make good use of it. In the words of Tamar Braxton, I gotta get my life! I have so many unread books, both physical and on Audible. As a former language arts and English teacher, I must admit, it’s a tad bit embarrassing. That changes today. I’m reconnecting with the things that bring me joy, starting this weekend. You all know I’ll keep you updated and share any suggestions.

To wrap things up, I hope you are feeling loved today and spreading that love to others. And if no one tells you today, let me say it:

You are worthy of the deepest, warmest, truest, safest, most joyful, and most fulfilling of loves. 🥰

Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️
